All of my VT trips have been in my Benz

Thanks to all the shitlords who went up yesterday and bought so many cans that it went from no limit to 2/pp 6pack limit. Going up for the first time in over a year and all I wanted to do was stock up on some cans.

Guess I'll just drown my sorrows in Art.
LYMI

Dammmit! When I saw that it was a case and half limit on each I was nervous about them lasting until next Thursday! But no limit, sheesh! Hopefully this lower limit makes it happen for me! I really don't care if BGE makes it, just give me all the cans! I can't imagine what they were thinking have no limit on cans though. They clearly underestimate the insanity for their product.

And I honestly wouldn't label people that bought 4-5 cases as all being **** lords. I've been known to grab as much as I can when I am at places like Hill or Trillium to give to my local friends at straight retail.

I meant shitlord in the kindest way possible.

trying to setup a full nordic vertical this weekend with thewimperoo do we know how many batches were done? I was thinking 5 total different dates anyone know?

we're still in the process of getting everyone together to do a Nordic vert but i think between myself, a friend and Os we have them all. June 2014, Nov. 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017

So did Art really sell out for the day just after opening? I was planning to go tomorrow, but definitely won't be able to get there at open. Considering postponing my trip till next weekend. decisions...

Any 13 Anna's in that box?

no magic anna ;)

have to figure anybody who does have some magic anna would want a small reward to let one go... i've never even gotten to tick the magic anna.

first time having HF was i think philly beer week 2012... didn't get up there till end of 2013 or early 2014... can't remember

Yup, It sold out a few min after 12:00. I think I was the first person denied a bottle, after the 7 hour ride up.

Was told it was all gone, sold out. I made the trip cause it was sort of implied in social media that there was plenty and it would be available all day even all month, oh well sometimes you miss out, **** happens... Was dissapointed but no big deal I'll get a nitro earl.

But was kinda pissed when I heard it magically came back, about an hour after we left.

Meh, might be done with HF, the whole experience (not the beers) left a bad taste in my mouth.

As far as i know it didn't "magically come back" after you left. I tried to get a bottle and was told it was out.

They did post on social media that they needed to restock after a run on it Wednesday and Thursday.

This is no different from The way they've always handled releasereleasss in the tasting room, it's available one day until it isn't, then it's available again the following day or some other day. They've never just sold it and sold it and sold it continuously until their completely and totally out, if they did that these releases wouldn't last more than a few days

Honestly i wouldn't sweat it man.....with how much new stuff they're pumping out nowadays i'm sure you'll have another chance to try it. I always wanted to try Ann and Art too...but after having most of the CD series and other random gems like gin clara or brother soigne aged in tequila barrels i can say i don't care in the slightest if i don't try their really sought after beers. I seriously doubt Art is worlds better than CD10/11 etc.

Maybe I am tired, but the trip just didn't feel worth it today. First time that happened to me at HF.
Someone asked, incredulously, why some of us go up so insanely early in the morning a few hundred pages back, and this is why: It allows time to see some VT friends, enjoy the fresh air, make a leisurely stop at Parker Pie, and maybe even jump into a lake. That way, there’s just a lot less stress hanging on which beers are/aren’t available on the way. It’s always worth it.

I wasn't mad I missed out on the beer, sure I was a little dissapointed. I just did not like they way it went down, and am not alone with that feeling. From what I heard they recieved a lot complaints and then brought more Art out in the afternoon. Maybe I got incorrect info... I am really not dwelling on it. I still feel that:

Shaun Hill is easily the best brewer in the world. There's honestly no one else remotely in his class, in my estimation. These beers are so much better than anything else I've had, in their styles, and this is true across so many different types of beer. It's just unbelievable the degree to which I enjoy these beers more than other representations of the same style. I don't say this lightly either. It would be convenient if I didn't need to drive a thousand miles for my favorite beers, but that's just the reality of the situation.

Also, you of course have a right to be disappointed. I definitely get it. Wasn’t trying to take that away at all- I just mean to say that even if the brewery announced they were closed for the day after I’d driven all the way up there, the trip would still be worthwhile. But I really, really, really love Vermont.

I think my post was written after 940 miles of driving in bad rain and fog, and being awake from 3:30 till 1:00AM we still had an awesome trip and met some great people.
One amazing thing that happened proving the beer community is still great and not overrun with profiteering shitlords. I met an owner of an awesome NY brewery while at HF, he looked at me confused with my delicious nitro earl, and asked where is your Art, all I said was it sold out. He immediatey gave me his glass and said here you need to try it. Then 2 other awesome guys shared their glasses with my friends who came up with me.

I still love VT and there are many reasons to visit.

Throw in Black Diamond BBQ, and this is what bird22 and I did pretty much everyday on our September VT trip. Jumping in lakes with cans of Mary was the best part!
