different preferences i guess. Had a batch 1 dorothy a month and and thought it was great (which i didnt think so when it was younger).

also, did anyone have arthur on tap at pro pig?? what was that.... it was unreal

I had Arthur on tap at farmhouse tap last Friday pre-FoFA and it was mind numbingly awesome. On the way back to the hotel I stopped and had another at Manhattan pizza. I probably could've had 6 of them.

Arthur was at Pro Pig and The Rez, I enjoyed a few pours of it last Friday and it was indeed wonderful.

I can confirm that the new batch of Nordic is kick-ass. Ever since New England became Florida North the past few weeks this one will seriously quench your thirst.

DONT YOU EVER COMPARE US TO FLORIDA.

Anyone know what vintage onsite bottles are pouring this afternoon? Last day in VT, and would really love to find the elusive Ann...

never worth checking... they are usually put out in very limited amounts so between now and getting there, things can change... special onsite bottles are meant to be surprises when you get there

Noticed Casita Cerveceria Amigos Britanicos added for this week. Had it at FoFA - was weird but definitely would like to revisit on a fresh palate.

Also regular Dorothy.

Double Citra's back up as well

Hello, friends.

Sitting here drinking some beers with my buddies and we're talking HF. Collectively our favorite saison is Arthur, and as we're talking about it, we've come to realize there's differing ideas on what Shaun does with this beer as far as it's conditioning once it has been brewed. Does it ever touch oak? Foudres? Inoculated in stainless? I know this is a very active thread and you folks seem to know your stuff. Wondering if anyone can provide some info.

Thanks, and cheers!

I believe the rotating saisons (Anna, Arthur, Florence, etc) all normally see some time in oak foudres. There have also been batches of Arthur and Florence that were in fermented in stainless instead, and some of those Arthur batches were dry-hopped.

Great day at Hill today. Big surprises for onsite bottles - Civil Disobedience 4, Madness 1, Flora Plum, Elaborative 5, Vera, Juicy mags, Bernice, and A&G 375mls ($20!) Only had time for one beer so got the one I've never ticked from that list - Elab 5. Interesting and a lot more tart than expected, but not worth the $33 entry fee for a 375ml.

Got a case each of Anna and Nordic, a few Everett, and 4 Vera (brought the wife, kid, and cockerspaniel.) Vera sold out mid afternoon. S&S 5 kicked as well.
