E. (and Sue) are, I think, two of the HF beers that change the most over time with age. They are hoppier fresh and more brett develops over time. I loved E. from the last batch aged a bit and Sue aged great for me. But they were so great fresh that I had zero issue drinking them at release. Amazing beers.

Just an fyi I was told that the balloon glasses most likely will not be coming back for retail sales.

Hold the phone, glass is fragile ?

Ha, I believe it was that a whole bunch of them would break on the way during shipment all the time. The new willi is incredibly sturdy. Last time I was there I saw one fall off the table onto the hard floor and was fine. A couple minutes later the bulb tipped on its side and the neck snapped....so yeah there can be different levels of fragility.

I had one of their balloons snap at the top of the neck after jostling around in the sink while doing dishes. Never had another stemmed glass do that before.

They also have had tons of problems with misprints and glasses with imperfections, I'm sure plenty of you all have seen the crooked stem or wrinkles in the glass. Its why they always ask customers to give it a strong look over before they would buy one.

have kicked a bulb 25' across the floor into a wall and had it survive.
have set one down too hard on granite and had the stem shatter.

glad I don't care about glasses lol

Where the hell is all this Durobor speculation from?

Okay, not true.

First I'm hearing of all of these misprints too!

Man, these glasses are worse then we thought... Good thing we stopped selling them.

Hey all, will be travelling up at the end of April. Tips on cool bed and breakfast lodging in the area? Wife and I plan to leave Boston Thursday/Fri to head to Vermont for the weekend. Do some hikes, HF, hang out, maple syrup stuff?, any other activity tips?

Is there a Vermont travel thread?
