Growler limit lowered to 3 as well
I wouldn't be surprised to see the growler limit lowered to three all the time again for some of these bottle releases. Groups of people showing up all hauling coolers filled with 5 growlers seriously slows down the line.

Personally I think the size of the growler matters a little bit more than the number. Last time I went up there were many people lugging coolers with only 2L/64oz growlers. Which are well over twice the volume of the 750mls (2.67x to be more exact) and would take about twice as long to fill because the growler inspection+CO2 purging bit is quick in comparison.

So if some dude and his gf brings 10 big ones to be filled, they would hold up the process by a good amount of time. My suggestion would be semi-based on volume, e.g. 5x 750ml or 3x 2L or 4x mixed. Having 5x 750mls is still less volume than a pair of 2L.

They could just add + days of operation. They're the itgirl of beer. Expansion, newer retail, more hours. Add M-Sat, specially for ppl living in vt who have Mondays free.

Sounds like a lot more payroll to add to cover those hours.

Agreed. It isn't that easy to just add more hours/days. Shaun lives there and yes he made the decision to build a brewery where he lives, but that doesn't mean him and his neighbors can't have some privacy at the same time.

HF production will "double" but that means more options on tap for growlers, more beer to be sent to draught accounts etc. a small combination of maybe adding maybe 1 day and increasing. A few hours per day slightly should help. Not that we have any say, but its incredibly difficult to balance payroll when during bad weather there is no wait for growlers and when Flora comes out its a 3 hour wait.

I understand the wanting some privacy. That makes sense

Payroll is not an issue at HF and with additional hours brings additional revenue to cover the additional payroll. Its how business works.

True but this can also go back to there is also only X amount of product to sell and they will sell it all regardless of the amount of days they are open.

you guys do realize that some/most of the staff also work on Tuesdays doing things around the brewery that cannot be accomplished during retail hours right? so that leaves 2 days off...

Wait. So.
You're saying they should have two days off a week, same as most people? They shouldn't work 6 or 7 days a week so that it's more convenient for some people to.buy beer?

Radical concept broski.

No one said anything about product running out. Which I dont think would happen if they were open an additional 10 hours or whatever a week.

Just because business operations are happening every day at HF doesn't mean each employee is working there 7 days a week.

I was being facetious, sportive, glib...I figured saying they needed to be open the day I have free would be cluey.

HF shouldn't have more retail hours. They should just let me buy their beer online and ship it to me and cut back to 3 days of retail per week.

This. I also know that in the past they have filled growlers for locals on Tuesdays.

Anyone know if Ephraim is still coming or if they had to dump a batch? I know it was removed from On Deck last week.

it's just the leftover anna barrels that weren't good enough to become ann ;)

Not to start another ******* two page thread, but it is strange to me/inconsistent how he refers to this stuff. He says stuff on twitter like "only the very best barrel becomes Ann," (seemingly referring to what is bottled as Ann itself) and then refers to what goes into CD11 as Ann as well. Seems like calling the stuff in CD10/CD11 "barrel aged Arthur/Anna" would be more appropriate. Not that it bothers me, I just don't totally follow the terminology. If out of dozens of barrels, only one becomes Ann, what happens to the rest of it?

Anna just doesn't have that hype to it that Ann does.

Gender reassignment

So you're saying it will take at least 2 to land a SR-71? That's what I figured.

Should be 1-1 considering in both cases we are talking about beer that wasn't good enough to make it into the primary release blend.

Don't tell the morons spending $900+ on 4 bottles of SR-71 that though.

It becomes Annie, a new beer yet to be released that will sit between the albino wael that is Ann and the plebeian but well-liked Honda Civic that is Anna
