I just think the discussions between different batches is silly. Many of these batches are made (or aged) very differently and IMO shouldn't be compared. Then it goes on for 3 pages about Norma. Just like what happened with the HF stouts 10 or 20 pages ago.

I want real, useful information. I know, I'm demanding. :)

that's partially due to the slowness though... unless new info comes out, the same type of topics are going to pop up... I really can't wait for the tasting room to be done...

I will provide daily updates on road conditions through mud season.

This is good info. Also when bottle limits are raised and lowered and such other things.

Don't get me wrong, I love talking about beers, thats why I'm on here. I just think its silly to argue which BA saison is the best from the brewery that makes the best BA saisons in the world.

More discussion about facts that are easily found on the brewery website! Less discussion about what people actually think of the beer on a beer website!

Mud report sounds pretty useful though

most of that stuff is here though... it's just that instead of dead silence, people want to discuss the beers... I don't think it's that off to compare batches

Just got back. Road condition report: Awesome. I highly recommend going in by way of Shadow Lake>Rocking Rock>T-8>Hill. Most fun I've had behind the wheel in a long time. There wasn't anybody there. It took me 15 minutes for the growler fills and I was out. I stuck to the 5 fills because I'm going back next week but was told no limit. Convivial should last through next week, but Dorothy is very low. Unable to get confirmation on burgeoning romance involving cheese lady.

Road condition report: No clue as I haven't been up there since September, but I can confirm that my low riding Prius took a ******* beating pulling into the Parker Pie parking lot.

Anyone crack an Elab #2 lately? How's it tasting? I loved it on release but for whatever reason haven't opened my last 2 bottles.

I'm not bullshittin' ya. Got stinkin' shitfaced on the bus. Louise left me, and that son of a bitch over there keeps playin' me when he knows I'm shitfaced. Anybody throws me against the boards, I'm gonna piss all over myself.

What the **** are you talking about ???? Either i'm still foggy from a tasting last night or you're still drunk 7am on a Sunday...

Elab two that I had in January was excellent. No pumpkin flavor left at all.

Just opened my last one this week. Nice and tart. I never got any pumpkin from this, which is fine, and why it ranks as my all time favorite 'pumpkin' beer.

Thoughts on the new batch of Anna? Cracked one the other night and thought it had a bit of an unusual banana ester. Anyone else get that?

I didn't pick up on banana, but this most recent batch is very different than the Anna I last drank in June 2013. Like, it smelled pretty much the same but the new batch had far less acid.

  • Civil Disobedience 11: A blend primarily consisting of Ann. 750ml. $35, Limit one (1) per person. Please see updated release policy here.
Looks like the new policy is that you can only buy one bottle/person for any release at any given time, meaning that you can't come back consecutive days and get multiple bottles of special releases.

Following up on what we’ve learned from the release of Flora Blue/Black, and reviewing comments and suggestions from many of you (thank you for your constructive input!), we will be amending our release policy for all special releases and barrel-aged beers, effective immediately.

In an effort to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of special release bottles, we will be implementing a bottle per person limit in total—not per day.

For example, if we release a beer with three (3) bottles per person limit, you may purchase up to three bottles on any given day during normal retail hours; once you’ve purchased bottles, you may not come back another day and buy more of that release.

This policy allows more people access to these releases for a longer period of time—ultimately, making it easier for more of you to enjoy these special beers!

Please note that this change does not apply to our ongoing releases of farmstead ales—Anna, Dorothy, Arthur, etc.—with normal bottle limits of 12 or more.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we refine and improve our retail experience!

Cheers,

The Hill Farmstead Brewery Team

I'm sure people will figure out how to continue to game the system, but good for them

good policy.

Unfortunately the BA beers keep going up in price, yippie!
