I've been confused from the start of this but I think you would just lose the $5.37 if you won and didn't complete the transaction.

" Winners who fail to pick up their bottle will NOT be refunded the $47.70 or service charges."

You'll lose the 47 also. If you just won for one day, I suppose you could just refuse to pay the 47 when they contact you. But they're going to have your name. And probably won't be pleased. If you don't care what they think about you, thats fine. If you're a regular, I am going to guess you won't want to refuse paying.

  • Winners will be contacted upon draw and required to pay $47.70 plus $2.37 credit card processing fee to complete their winning entry.
what if you don't 'complete the sale' on a second winner. you would then not be charged the $47 again

Willing to trade a bottle of Bourbon County Vanilla for this. Ann side will have to add a bit though to make this fair.

Once SeaWatchman is taken care of I'm willing to trade a Black Raz Bu for an Ann. I'll add other beers (not more De Garde stuff though) to make up $4$.

Yeah I guess that language is mushy. I guess I'm assuming once you win the lottery that constitutes agreeing to purchase the bottle, and then if you don't "complete the transaction," they'd be pissed. But maybe not.

There are some real twats on their Facebook page. This is my favorite:

this perhaps marks all time low in craft beer.. Let me pay 5.59 for the potential "privilege" to pay 47 dollars for a 750ml of a saison. after being so honored and lucky to win such a lottery, I then have a 4 day window to drive to upstate, nowhere vermont to claim my "prize". then, in the true spirit of craft beer, I'll hold on to it for 2 years until most people have drank theirs, and sell it for 500 dollars on eBay. Mark . Let's sign up immediately. good work @hill farmstead

Dude works for Barclays and can't grasp supply and demand.

Pretty sure charging for a chance is illegal as ****. I think that's a real lottery. Even if the fee is refunded.

I don't get it. It all seems simple to me. ******* straight homies everywhere on the webs over a ******* service fee. ****.

You'd think they'd be miffed about the $45 saison. Ffs.
I'd sooner kill biggun growlers of Abner and Double Citra (or whatever).
You white people are crazy.

could give a **** about the price, or w/e nonsense fee

pick up process seems needlessly rigid

Lost Abbey didn't the same thing with DDG in terms of choosing a session to pick up your beer. In fact they were even more rigid with specific times on a day. I don't remember seeing any complaints about that then. It's a similar beer in terms of hype, so I'm not sure how this is any different. It's rigid to get the beer distributed efficiently and with minimal disruption to normal operations.

The sessions for retrieving purchased Duck Duck Gooze will happen Labor Day weekend, a morning and afternoon session on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st (8am – 11am & 12pm – 3pm). To reiterate – If beer is purchased and not picked up during the designated pick up session, the beer will be surrendered back to the brewery. NO PROXIES ALLOWED

How the **** does this thread keep going?

Shawanda is the meta-troll. Got you all hooked even without a post.

Mad respect.
