Pretty sure charging for a chance is illegal as ****. I think that's a real lottery. Even if the fee is refunded.

it's the site's fee and will be refunded if you don't win... AKA: if you don't get beer, you don't get charged... BKA: you are not paying for a "chance" to win

So what's to stop someone from entering the lottery as their proxy so when they pick it up the proxys name is on the list?

Speaking of..... anyone wanna be a proxy? Maybe srs.

Well, you'd need to find a proxy willing to pick up who wouldnt want to enter themselves. Seems hard

I'm just glad I have friends up there who don't like saisons/wilds.
of course, it's a major bitch to get either of them to come off their porters/stouts...

I hear you.. .it's a great setup for you... I don't know what I'd do if I was where you are.. or any further than I am... as of now, I get everything myself... I love being up there and have made many friends that I like to see

I agree but at the same time can't you see tons of neckbeards showing up at the crack of dawn hoping there will be bottles when they open?

And then bitching about how they "wasted so much time" without any limited bottles appearing, and begging for the staff to sell them a magnum or something else as compensation.

I agree this is an all around fair solution for everybody.

- There is no reason to get in line at 5AM. Just go to HF like any other trip and oh you have a bottle of Ann waiting for you.

- You get to pick the day you want to try to win a bottle so you can plan ahead accordingly.

- The lottery gives everybody a fair chance at a bottle, in fact strategically Wednesday or Thursday will probably be less chosen compared to Friday or Saturday.

The people complaining would complain about any scenario that doesn't make it as easy as possible for that person to get it and not the general public.

that is more meant for people on this site... I know there are locals that do muling but those are not the majority of what we're talking about

some lady even gave me a business card last time offering her services... ha

That's hilarious, I had no idea it was that blatant. Did her card at least use a fancy "rare beverage procurement services" euphemism?

Guys on Facebook trying to find quasi-mules for Ann are hilariously amusing to me in their desperation. As usual, dontdrinkbeer nails it:

So you are searching for that person who not only lives close enough to hill farmstead to attend, enter, get a bottle, but also someone who has a massive amount of free time, values it incredibly low, and the means to drive to hill farmstead; this same guy who despite all this, finds selling bottles on the secondary objectionable

Surely someone like this exists. GL OP

I wish I could find the card.. it was a personal business card w/ her picture on it and her facebook page address... it used some fancy word to basically say she does everything and anything (as I type this, I'm wondering if she's a hooker) but she said she was there for someone else and that she ships stuff out...

That def means hooker too

probably... she was a bit older and weathered looking though... I hope she's cheap

but yeah, her business card had a bunch of little services listed... mule or hooker were not specified if I recall correctly

Can't imagine much of a market for her services in the northeast kingdom

Anything about "handling packages" that could work for both professions I suppose.
