Anyone up there today happen notice how much Sue was left? Hoping the four-bottle limit lasts, I'd love to get at least four of them. And Nordic, b1 of that one was very underrated.

Was up there yesterday around 3, looked like 4-5 cases were behind the table, not sure if they had more elsewhere though. Wasn't too busy at that point, not sure how it was earlier in the day.

actually appears more popular now then a couple years ago...

and on a semi-related note... looks like Blackback now is getting a couple more HF beers

Yup, the res has been well run for the last 5 years and has become a lot more popular with locals and tourists alike. The only people it's become less popular with is the 3pm-1am bud light/vodka folks

not to mention they just opened that other spot in Stowe... business has to be decent!

any word on HF at The Bench?

where am I suppose to get my Vodka drinks now in waterbury?

I just bought a Groupon the other day for Starbucks, so I think that hypothesis probably fails.

Nah, i still stick to it for the majority of business. I've known several restaraunts that once they started offering discounted food/services that was the end of them.... Cleartly not the situation for everyone but i see a growing trend..

Haven't seen it in there. It gets pretty busy, but their taps are VT ubiquitous at the moment. Hopefully they'll get some
HF offerings because the food is off to a very good start.

is the Bench a new place in town? haven't been to waterbury since July.

It`s a new restaurant and bar in Stowe, in the spot that was previously home to Pie in the Sky. Which was a good lunch option with all you can eat pizza, salad & soup. But they only had 5-6 beers on. The Bench is owned by the same people as The Reservoir, so there are a lot more taps, with a similar quality to The Rez.
For those staying along the Lower Mountain Road, it`s an easy walk.

I was with wife and kids in Stowe in July at Green Mountain Inn, I assume it's close to that...

It's up the mountain road a little (on the right as you head towards Stowe mountain) - not too far tho :) you could walk from the Village and get some food/drink on and use a cab back or walk. Green Mountain Inn is in the village.

I'd say it's the best place to eat in Stowe right now. Hopefully they pick up some Edward at least and work forward.
Edward and something else would be....awesome.

FWIW there hasn't been much HF in Stowe at all. It seems like Piecasso (which used to have 1-2 HF usually just Edward) never has any and VT Ale House (also on the mtn road) has had Edward 1/4 times I've visited, but it's not a regular line.

TL;DR The Bench is open after 5, no news on brekkie or lunch and fresh Maine Beer Co. MO is hard to pass up w/ one of their plates so until some HF rolls in - the WaterBEERY 3 is still the best drop outside Farmhouse/3 Penny & Parker Pie for eats w/ HF lines. That said, the Bench is pretty solid and will just get better IMO.
