High temp subtitute yeast for oatmeal stout

For my third beer I would like to try to brew yoopers oatmeal stout https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f68/all-grain-yoopers-oatmeal-stout-210376/

I want to follow the recipe as close as can. My only prob is that I can't achieve 64F cause swmbo controls the t-stat. My 1st 2 beers were at 72-74F. For those I used coopers and danstar safrale us-05 (iirc). Both are high temp dry yeasts and I was happy with my beers (both pale ales).

Should I use the wyeast1335? Or is there a better choice for this temp.

Other info: I'm following instructions from deathbrewers BIAB and John Palmer. I have an ale pale. I will bottle condition.

I don't know what to tell you.

72-74 degrees (room temperature) is just too warm for most ale yeasts. If you had decent results with a certain strain, then use whatever will not be terrible at a too-warm temperature in your experience.
 
Look at this BYO article. The last section lists some yeasts that do well at higher temps.

I really like WLP008. Never used it above 70 though..
 
Thanks for the replies. As a newbie, I guess I just didn't understand if this was doable or not. Sounds like there's no good substitute for higher temperatures without affecting the flavor.

Maybe I'll try to build something with an electric blanket And a thermostat in my cold garage.
 
The t-shirt method sounds promising. How long do I have keep it cool. Does it even matter after the third day?
