I've done about 5 batches with DME or partial mash and have had some good and bad results. I have 7 lbs of Muntons light DME and want to do a high gravity beer for winter. Anyone have a good suggestion?

Was thinking of getting some Belgian style grains to do a partial but have never attempted a complex beer since I'm too lazy to do a full mash:)

Can you even brew a good high gravity beer with a partial mash?

Yes, you can do almost any beer with a partial mash. The majority of the fermentables come from the extract anyway, so the more of that you add, the higher the gravity.

I did the partial mash DFH 60 minute clone and it was awesome. It's Yooper's recipe. Not super high gravity, but it's up there.
