hi guys and gals , i am Robert and im new to the whole brewing thing . Recently ive been interested in being as self sufficient as a Scottish townie can be .im from Scotland and im not much of a drinker myself but i do like mead .I started to see videos about how you can harness your own yeast using various methods like ginger bug sourdough starters .i bout a store apple juice and i made a ginger bug i added each to a fermenter and 5 days later i had fizzy low alc. juice .i went out and purchased what i needed to make my own mead .my set up is very basic .yesterday i started my 1 g of mead .i am really fresh at this lol but want to really make some good mead . anyway im babbling .I came across this site as i was looking for recipes for mead

Welcome from San Francisco. Cannot add anything as I have not tried mead, but welcome to the group. Great group of folks here so ask anything and they will give you a lot of answers
