Hi from Parsippany, NJ. Back in the hobby after a 4 year hiatus. Right now, brewing some extract-speciality grain kits but looking to take the next step and become an all-grain brewer.

Favorite styles to drink are Weisse, Lambic, and American Pale Ale.
Best beer memory is going to Oktoberfest in Munich a few years ago. By far, that was the best beer I ever drank. Amazingly, I was drinking over 5-L a day without a hangover. Would love to one day brew a beer as good as what I had there.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. You read my mind about a Brew club in Northern NJ, but I don't think I can make your meetings. I typically don't get home from work until after 8.

I'm curious, I use the Gaslight Brewery in South Orange as my local homebrew shop. Are there any other local shops that are any good?

You might want to check the expiration date on their sacks of grain before you go buying them. I ended up with a sack of Munton's Maris Otter that was 8 months past.

I shop online. Brewmaster's Warehouse is great and their stuff gets here in two days, using the flat-rate shipping. No good homebrew shops in North Jersey.
