My name's Sean and I've been on the forums creeping for awhile. Figured it was about to create an account and participate heh. I'm about to do my first BIAB next week, so wish me luck. I'm been brewing for a little longer then a year and just started upgrading my equipment towards all grain but it's a slow process. Anyways, thanks for all the great advice that's gotten me this far!

Once you go all-grain, there is no turning back. Suggestion: buy a bag of 2-row and or MO in bulk. I purchase it for a $1.00 per lb from my LHBS- if buying an entire 50-lb bag. That saves big time and you can enjoy creating your own Recipes.

I enjoy doing BIAB. It doesn't take a lot of equipment to have pretty good results. The only time I go back to a mini-mash or extract is when it gets too hot or cold outside.

I dislike BIAB because of the hot, heavy, sticky mess. I have done a few and will do more especially during the winter when it is soooo cold outside.

Keep upgrading a little at a time and decide what method suits you best. Most of all - BREW ON! and enjoy the hobby/obsession. :rockin:
