Well, here they are... brand spankin' new!

You can kind of get a feel for their size based on my 15 gallon keggle sitting in front of them...

Please take plenty of pictures going forward of your mods and brew days! I am sure we all would love to see those bad boys in action.

I actually got a real tear in the corner of my eye. That's so beautiful!

whats the part number on that i would lookig at legions website but did not see them
saw plenty of Direct Steam Kettles thoe

JB, I just finished reading your Herms 2.0 post and then stumbled across this one. I have to say congrats, but I feel the need to compete here too. I don't have any fancy equipment or boiling kettles, but I do have a 13" stirring stick that I like to call.... MY COCK! :D

Keep making us proud with your impressive equipment, and I will keep my wife happy with mine.

Seriously though, the sh*& that you have come up with is incredible. Keep it up.:mug:

It's always great to see a HBT'r with a sense of humor. I am compensating for my lack of ability to create cool sh&@ like yours.

Anyone know where I can get casters that would fit these? They are made with 2" hollow tubular SS. McMaster and Grainger don't seem to have any options for anything that big...

you are a punk, i've been checking out ebay and drooling over steam kettles knowing i'd never get one. I need to start brewing good beer to justify something like that though. I haven't had a good one turn out in a while, maybe I just have high standards. hey, the Savannah craft brew fest was pretty cool. I was hoping to see more reps from the actual brewery. As for the casters. figure it out your damn self. you seem to be a smart guy. I'm suprised you didn't have any laying around. sorry, i'm just a little pissed you got those for 850. one for that is great, but two is just crazy.

Yeah, the woman's husband I bought them from was kinda pissed. They apparently found out how much they were worth *after* I negotiated the deal for both of them... heh

You may want to check out Harbor Freight, their website isn't all that great, but their store may have them. Also, Tractor Supply I believe had a big selection

Thanks for the reply. We have both local and will check them out tomorrow. It looks like I might have to get some "Caster Sockets" but I can't even find them large enough for the 2" tube...

Machine some solid stock for a slide fit into the stainless tube legs, weld on flat a plate to the stock for mounting the casters. Great find keep this thread going you lucky one.
Those hand crank tilts have to go, now you have to add elecrtic motors.

I sure would like to see an update Gabe. Specifically in your steam generation system. Any chance in that happening?
