ok so i bought a czech pilsner and brewed it to spec ( or so i thought ) it makes 2 gal. of beer and i acidently brewed 5 gal. so i have 3 too many gal of water is there something i can do to savage this batch add anything or is it ruined- hyrometer reading is 1.010

Have you pitch the yeast?
With SG at 1.01, it is probably already at your optimum FG.
IMO, dump it or add more LME or DME to make a 5 gallon batch.
You can use Beersmith to help you with the new calculation.
Of course, you'll need more hops too.

I cant tell ig you have fermented it yet or not, but if not, couldn't he just boil the volume back down to 2 gal? Will take several hours but should work if unfermented, right?

Couldn't you just add more extract and boil it agian, even if yeast was pitched? I know it would be killed and would need to be repitched, but wouldn't it be the same thing as starting at the beginning?
