I made a batch of beer last night and when i went to go check on it this morning there was no bubble action happening from the air lock. Im still new to brewing and i know yeast can take several hours before it starts working but its been almost 12 hours...any suggestions?

Up to 72 hours is within normal range
so go ahead have a beer and check again tomorrow
