I'm planing on making some hard lemonade from frozen concentrate, do I make the lemonade as it reads on the can or do I add less or more water and if I wanted a hint of raspberry can I crush and juice some frozen raspberries or can I use some raspberry flavoring that can be used in beer and wine.

Thanks :mug:

I mix up water, sugar, and lemonade. It's a tough ferment, so I start with 1/2 the lemonade to build up the yeast and then add the rest of the lemonade. You can add some aspberries, or even a can of apple-raspberry frozen juice if you want.

here's my recipe for three gallons, with the instructions to "baby" the yeast: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f79/hard-lemonade-68144/

I am brewing Yooper's recipe right now. Saying it is hard to get the fermentation to take off is an understatement. I ended up following the directions for the starter.......twice. The first time did not work. My starter ended up being a gallon after slowly adding the must for a couple of days and then took off fine once I pitched it.
