The attached image is the RTD PT100 sensors I have been using.
They have a threaded flange wire connector instead of what I am now seeing as the common push type ones.

3 years in and I keep getting wires that fail. Either my solder joint or the cable itself.

Anyone know if I can get a pre-made connector for these threaded type?

I can't even really find the threaded connector anymore...

I have 5 in my system, I would really hate to buy new RTD just cause of the connector..

Auber has really nice push type connectors. Look for the water proof ones

Will a push type fit over a threaded type? I am doubting it will.

Both push style ends are required for the lock in the connected position. You should be able to just replace the connector leaving the existing RTD.

I agree, I don't have push style. I have threaded style.

Not seeing anyone selling threaded style now.

I get that- I’m suggesting convert over to a more readily available type. The ones auber had haven’t failed me yet. You can tell they are quality

I purchased a cheap XLR connector/cable. I figure half of it is done, I just need to convert one XLR end to my RTD connector.

When I opened up the new XLR cable, 2 of the conductors are covered and the other is just bare copper.

I am assuming no issues with this, since the bare copper wire is around the insulated wires and also in the insulated cable.

they use the rtds and connectors from the same factory as the $8 ebay ones... DTC... coinsidently they are the same manufacturer as the better quality ones that it appears the OP is already using with the better quality Telfon connectors... like these? https://www.amazon.com/DTC-Temperature-Sensors-Detachable-Connector/dp/B00WCOXHHU
If this is the case I dont think the op is going to find anything meant to handle more abuse already made. The best option would be to buy a $20 soldering gun and learn to solder or be a bit more careful with the cables.. I dont mean for that to come out condescending I'm just trying to provide an honest answer. Ive used a large number of these RTD's from a wide variety of resellers and the telfon cabled ones are the only ones that have held up terrifically for me, even with repeated use at the brewpub were I use the triclamp style rtds that use the telfon cable only with the push lock style connectors like auber sells.
At home Ive had the screw on connectors like linked above which besides the fact that the the plug outer housing piece always seems to work itself loose from the pin section where the wires are soldered, works great. same probes and cables for 5 years now but I admit I use some care with them after replacing what seemed like a dozen of the cheaper braided stainless type ones like auber sells.

I see now that you already found a heavier duty solution. the bare wire will be fine for the reasons you mention but I would make sure that wire is not grounded to the connector housing at any point because if it is you may have issues with this type of application. (it likely isnt)

I already had a new smaller soldering iron on order with some smaller better solder.

I still need to find a source for the screw connector, I have too many RTD in my system to just replace them all with quick disconnects.

This is exactly what I have. 6 in my system.
When I bought these, push connect were not available cheap.
