Help please

Ok so I got my panel together, no sparks no fuss no muss. HLT pid works perfect, lights come on everything is groovy. I check the lights on the kettle everything is good. I plug the HLT cable in and it is all good, works fine. Plug the kettle cable in and the element light goes off. check the cable, everything is wired the same as the HLT. Try plugging the kettle cable into the HLT outlet same thing happens, lights go out no power. any ideas?

Are they the same elements in both kettles?

yup they sure are, is it maybe a bad element?

I'd check the wiring at that element. Maybe some wires are touching or bad ground or something?

Lights go out but no breakers trip? Not good!

Dude, step away and get someone with electrical experience to figure that out.
