I made a yeast starter yesterday about 3pm with the intent to make the beer today. Something came up and I don't really have time today. Can I make it tomorrow using this starter? I am afraid the yeast will be spent.

The beer is a high gravity Scottish Ale 9%. Using a Scottish Ale Wyeast

Yep, you'll be fine. You can even wait until the starter finishes out, cool crash the starter and decant the liquid. Then you'll be pitching just the slurry and not the oxidized beer on top. You can pitch at high krausen too. Both work fine.

+1. Yeast starters will last a few weeks as long as you put them in the fridge once they fully ferment. You'll be fine.

So if I brew the beer tomorrow afternoon, Can I pitch the whole starter or do I need to decant?
The starter is about 4 cups. I have never decanted so i'd rather pitch the whole thing.
