Hey everyone,
I'm new to the wine making world and just started to make my first batch of moscato, there's only one issue. I put mixed the juice, got everything set to go however when I went to put in the air lock the rubber grommet fell into the juice. I was hoping that it was going to be floating on top but unfortunately it sank to the bottom. I tried getting it out with the spoon but I couldn't find it. Out of options I coated my arm with antibacterial soap and rinsed it off and plunged it in and got the gasket. Despite my best efforts about half of the yeast got disturbed and sunk into the juice.
So my question is, should I scrap this batch and try it over again, or should I wait it out and see what happens?
