I'm looking for some creative ways to store all my equipment. I just got start this summer, so I got my 6.5 carboy, 5 gal carboy, brewpot (5 gal), lots of bottles, ingredients, etc.

So does everyone keep stuff in a garage? My issue is that I don't have one, and I'm afraid to put stuff in the shed because it's not conditioned (in reality, everything could go in there but the ingredients).

Anyways, I'm looking for creative ideas to keep everything in the house.

Any help is appreciated.

first, what are your living conditions? how many people, how many rooms, how many closets?

when i first graduated college and was job hunting, i lived at my parents house. i had to get a chest of drawers, put all my clothing in there, and use my bedroom closet as a brew equipment closet.

now, i live in a single bedroom apartment and i do the same thing. when apartment hunting i made sure that there was an outdoor area for me to brew in and enough closet space for my equipment.

I recently moved a kid out of the house so I have been slowly converting a bedroom and closet to a brewery/bar area. I'm using the closet to store bottled beer and empty bottles and the room for a lager chamber, ferment chamber and I have a huge kitchen island in there I have no idea what to do with yet.

you can ferment in a closet. You could store anything not being used in a closet. The best thing I did was to move a 6 shelf bookcase into a closet to stack beer and bottle on. I made tons of room there.

I had a coat closet that was perfect for brew equipment. So I built a coat hook/shelf in the hallway, and took all the coats that were out of season to a hanging rack in the basement. Now we have a year-round brew closet, and a few coats in the hallway in the cool/cold weather.

P.S. no SWMBO, just a couple of kids and me.
