OhioBrewtus posted some pics and reviews of the LV Freakin Frog in this thread. I plan to go there at the end of this month but I am sooooooo outta the loop on top-shelf beer. Prior to this year, I essentially have not drank beer for 9 years and even back then I really only drank the more popular micro-brews and imports. So since I'm sorta poppin' my 'serious' beer cherry, be gentle.
A few of things I prob won't like:
Sour
Total uber-hop bombs, high aroma is OK.
Any real funkiness, esters/phenolics OK but no animal odors, etc.
Other than that I'm pretty open. Are there some essentials that ANY semi-serious beer drinker must have tried? I've never even had a Duvel (I'm not sure I've ever even seen a Duvel).
Three Philosophers sounds interesting, and good Doppelbock...that's about all I got. Any help appreciated.
