I need a good reciepe for a Kentucky Burbon Ale. My buddy is getting married and I would like to make him some.

Find a good stout recipe, and start soaking oak chips (or cubes if you have time) in bourbon. Start with an ounce of oak chips in 4oz of bourbon for a 5 gallon batch. Add all to the secondary. Should get you close. You can add more bourbon at bottling, but oak, even oak chips, take a bit longer. You can adjust as needed during the secondary, just go easy on the oak; you can always add more, but you cant take away.

For the stout recipe, something like this (5 gallon batch):

12lbs 2row
1lb chocolate malt
,75-1lb roasted barley
,5lbs crystal 20 or 40
1lb flaked oats (toasted or not)

Hops:
1oz Chinook/Belma/some high AA bittering hop at 60, maybe an ounce or so at 20-30.

Done!
