I have a corny keg I didn't clean after use. It's been sitting around for a few years and I'd like to keg my current IPA in it. I think I know about disassembling, cleaning and reassembling it. I have a small brush that can disturb the crud that might be inside the SS tubing from the ball/pin locks into the keg... BUT,

What I need to know is how to clean the party tap and line. It can be removed from the keg. Is there a solution I can use to soak this line/tap in to loosen the crud in it.. assuming there is any. I don't know if the tap is able to be disassembled and reassembled w/o tools. I"m good at taking things apart.. but, sometimes not great about getting them back together..

A quick and easy method for me has been to heat up a few gallons of water. Hot tap water works well and add you sanitizer. I use star San. Mix it in the keg. Lock it and shake around really good. The hot water cleaner combo works well. Then hook it up to some co2. Psi doesnt matter. Hook up that party tap and drain the keg thru that into an empty bucket. When the keg is done and pushing out foam take the picnic tap off and soak it in the warm sanitizer.

personally I'd get a new piece of line, a liquid disconnect and party tap. Pretty inexpensive and much easier. I would question the possibility of getting that plastic and hose really clean after that long in crud.
