Thanks for the great resource that is this forum. I'm currently working in Afganistan and taking the time to read and learn about homebrewing. I would like to set up a tap system in my house when I get back in may. I see a lot of the brews take time. I wish I had more of it. I'm only home for about 35 to 40 days then it is back to work for about 140 days, then repeat. So as you can see time is a problem for me when it comes to making my own brew. I'm going to hope to read and learn ways to use it to my advantage.

Welcome! If you brew beers that age well, or can refrigerate while you are away, you can brew on your schedule. Few beers need more than three weeks in a fermenter, usually two will do. After packaging, most styles will keep alright, some will improve.
Be careful in Afghanistan.

JohnSand,

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering what kind of time frame I had and it sounds like I should be able to brew on vacation. Go to work and everything is ready when I get back. Wel,l the short way of putting it.
