Hi!

I live in Clarkston, WA. My fiance and I have started to make Mead with our four daughters as a family project. We are all involved in medieval re-enactment to some degree and thought it would be a fun A&S project to perfect once we get it done.

We have a 1 gallon Cyser in the closet, next to one gallon of what we are calling quick and dirty lol, given its supposed to only have a 2 month wait.

The Cyser looks amazing, changing colors from a dark honey color, to a pumpkin color over the course of 2 weeks now....the quick and dirty , quite frankly, scares the bejeezus out of me....we did it in a plastic gallon jug with a balloon for the airlock, in stark contrast to our glass carboy and airlock setup for the Cyser....anyways...it looks weird, and different than the cyser, for sure, but it doesnt smell funny...just smells like bread.

So...yeah.

I work in a residential facility for neglected and abused children, my fiance is a stay at home dad. The girls are awesome, ages, 14, 12, 10 and 6, and are loving this experience. The littler ones love getting sticky :)

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good info here.

The medieval thing sounds cool.

Cheers. :mug:
