Hi all. I grew up in Vermont and moved to Oregon six years ago, so really good local beers everywhere I've lived so far (Otter Creek (VT) and Rogue (OR) are my favorites so far).
I just picked up everything I need to brew my first batch. I am going to try the porter from Palmer's book (since the book came as part of the package from my FLHBS I thought that would be nice and easy). I am actually going to do some cider too (this is really what brought me into the brewing scene) but I have to get around to picking the apples off my tree first. I am already trying to figure out if I have enough space to expand my home brewery and have multiple brews going at once.
Thanks for the great forum, it has already proved to be a great resource for me.
