I come to you hailing from the great Orange County California, having never brewed a drop in my life. I've been a fan of craft beer for about 10 years, and have enjoyed drinking it immensely. I am now getting ready to start looking around for a decent beginners kit that I'll enjoy for a while, but isn't going to make me file bankruptcy. I can't wait to interact and learn from you guys!

Cheers!

Welcome, there are a few places to get supplies from in the area, and a bunch of great clubs too. A club might help, you can hook up with someone and help brew to learn from, and that may lead to cheaper used equipment.

Kona dog is right look for a club and watch and learn. then you will know what you are getting into.:D

Welcome to the hobby from a fellow OCer. There are a few places in our area to check out for kits. But first try to spend a brew day with someone, or check out YouTube videos, so you can decide if you want to invest in the hobby. Then visit Phantom Ales in Anaheim, or Windsor Homebrew Supplies in Costa Mesa for your kits. Don't be afraid to ask for help. These guys with make sure you get what you need. Happy brewing!
