I am a rather new homebrewer. I started off with a basic set up, basic extract kit, and no instructions to really go off of. Completely screwed up the batch and tossed the kit into the closet for a few years. It was not until I started talking with an old friend that got be back into brewing. He became my brew buddy and he guided me through my first brew day. From there I have brewed about 6 different extract kits. I feel like I have a good handle on the basics, but I know there is a lot more to brewing than just extract!

Welcome to the forum. I have been brewing for about a year now. My very first brew was an Oktobeerfest Ale. Today I brewed a real Marzen. I think brewing is not as easy as some people say it is, but it is a very fun and rewarding hobby.

I just finished brewing a pumpkin spice porter! I think I might rack today into secondary. Im really excited for the porter!
