I am going to make my first batch tonight its going to be O'learlys Irish Red Lager. i have been using Mr Beer and that got old now i feel its time to brew BIgger and Better. the yeast is one of my only concerns.i am going to use a glass carboy to ferment how do i add the yeast to it? any help will do..:mug::mug:

Welcome to HBT! As far as adding yeast goes, whether it be liquid or dry, just pour it in the top and then swirl the carboy to get it mixed in. That should do the trick. You do have at least a 6 gallon carboy, correct?

yes i have 2 of them and a plastic fermenter bucket but i need a lid for that so i want to use the carboy already got the plug and top.

Welcome to the forum...

If you are worried about spilling your yeast, you may try buying a food grade plastic funnel.... and be sure to sanitize it...
