Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. As far as a tip goes since you're doing your first beer take your time. Read through the instructions a couple times and kinda walk through what you'll be doing. Remember that brewing is very simple but any lack of sanitation can ruin a beer quickly. So take your time, keep sanitation of any equipment that touches the wort/beer priority #1, ask questions on the forum if you get stuck, and most importantly crack a beer and enjoy yourself!! :mug:

Welcome to the forum from Norton, Ma. You'll find an awful lot of great info on this site. Read as much as you can. You'll be surprised how much you pick up and how much quicker things start to make sense.

Welcome to the addiction. I lived in New bedford for about two years. You all have some great brew in that neck of the woods.

Welcome from Lil' Rhody (soon to be from somewhere in Boston). There's a bunch of us southern New Englanders on the boards, complete with the occassional meet-up (though I never seem to be able to go). Good luck with your first batch, let us know how it turns out.
