Hello everybody! Long time reader, first time poster here. I figured as much as I read these forums I should just join! Thank you all for helping me work my way through my first half dozen all grain brews (without you even knowing it). I'm from central Illinois and will be whipping up a Columbus/Mosaic IPA today!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! I was just in your area on Friday, as it's on my route heading south. From what I hear, central Illinois (Bloomington/Normal) is having a bit of a craft beer explosion and it's getting easier and easier to find good beer and breweries in the area. That sounds great, and maybe sometime I'll get a chance to visit instead of just driving by!

Anyway, a Columbus/mosaic IPA sounds great. Good luck on the brew!

Welcome! I did the same thing. I did a lot of reading before becoming a member and contributing.

Your name isn't Dan, is it? lol. My wife and I met a couple from Illinois while both us and they were honeymooning in Alaska a little over a year ago and the husband was a homebrewer named Dan. At the time he was not on HBT. (I know you are not him. He lives in Stillman Valley, ha)

I love Columbus hops! Good luck with todays brew!
