Hi, I finally caved in an joined the forums. Every time I Google a homebrewing question, I end up here!

Brewed two extract ales with less than impressive results a while ago. Thought I'd have another go today and tried my hand at a stout, partial mash. Fingers crossed!

Hey TeaBelly! Welcome!

I'm over in Sandbach, Cheshire and a bit of a newbie too.

Similarly dissatisfied with extract kits used, so planning and designing an all grain setup. Mainly diy parts.

Just thought I'd say hey!

Good to have you onboard. We don't have all that many members outside the USA. Be ready for totally useless advice concerning hardware and other suppliers.

Welcome to HBT. I'm sure you'll enjoy browsing the forum, and learn a lot doing it. Looking forward to seeing your input on some of the topics.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Reverb, nice to hear from another Brit!

I'm happy with useless hardware and supplier advice, I'm only here for your delicious recipes and American craft beer secrets! :)

Also, you are probably already aware of it, but in case you aren't, measurements here are in US gallons which are only 5/6 the size of your Imperial gallons.

Good to know, thanks for the tip. Might also explain why in my "How to Brew" book the stout recipe i was following required me to put 3 gallons of water in my 2 gallon pot! :)
