Hello from Chicago

Just found the site... looks good. I can use all the help I can get! I started brewing about 15 years ago, then took a break when my kids were born. 9 years ago!

Just brewed an IPA and started fermenting 2 nights ago. Last night my wife and I were watching a movie and heard a loud pop. After checking the house i looked in at the brew. Blew the cap off the carboy... hop bits all over the ceiling! Great way to start again. I think i will name the brew "IPA Explosion".

Hey Kmes2 welcome, you are not alone. Chicago is not a bad place to brew. If you go to the regional or group buy sub-forum we are rocking this place. I went to Airgas to get more co2 and told the guys "I'm a homebrew" they said we get 2or3 brewers a day. Lots of brewers in Chicago.
