Hello from Charleston, SC

Hey everyone. I'm new to this hobby and am very excited to try my hand at Home Brewing. I am less than a week into my first batch. My GF bought me a $30 kit from sears. After diving into the internet reading about the process, I realize that the kit isn't exactly ideal. I have a shopping list of supplies I want to buy, but for now I am patiently waiting for my wort to ferment and rack it into some bottles. If anyone has any links they think I should read as a greenhorn, It would be greatly appreciated.
