Hello from the California Central Coast! This is Firestone Walker territory and my goal is to make a comparable home brew. I have my first batch fermenting in the garage. It stays pretty cool out there. I have an ingredient added to this batch that I've never heard of anyone using before .....the stopper. It never would really seat firmly so I kept pushing on it and schwoop! it went clean on through. My next post will be looking for advice on how to get a stopper out of a carboy.

welcome!!

im pretty sure you get stoppers out of carboys the same way you get change out of a piggy bank. :D

I figured out how to get the stopper out. I took a coat hanger and folded back the tip. Then I skewered it through the hole, (with the small side up) and brought it quickly through the hole. Worked pretty well after 3 or 4 trys.
