Hello from Afghanistan

Currently stuck in a beerless country where my only access to beer is through the few magazines and books i have. Hopefully this site will help quench the thirst. Been extract brewing a few years. Starting all-grain when i get back, very excited. Any tips, techniques or book suggestions appreciated

As a veteran and a home brewer I would immediately suggest joining a club. If you want to start all grain when you get home find a club before you get there and get to know them. they will be your best resource when you get home for getting tried and true equipment to finding deals in your area. Or do what I did when I got discharged and go work for a brewery.
