My hefeweizen (wlp300) has been in the fermenter for 10 days and I though the yeast was dead. No sign of activity in the airlock. I was about to panick and throw in some safale 05 but did some reading on the forums and figured it might still be fermenting.
Sure enough, it has dropped down from 1.044 to 1.011, last time I checked 3 days ago it was at 1.014.

Can I expect it to drop down much further? What would you expect the FG for a hefeweizen to land at?
It was supposed to be a 6 gallon batch at 5% abv but I now seem to have a 5 gallon batch at 4.3% abv...

No need to guess. Check again in three days and you'll know much better than any of us. No need to rely upon "expectations" today when the reality will present itself to you tomorrow, I'd say.

I'd say it's probably done. I just kicked a keg of hefeweizen with that yeast and my OG was 1.044 and FG 1.011 as well. That beer did not last long. You better get brewin'...

I'll definitely wait three days and check again.
Don't worry about getting brewing. Two more batches already fermenting :)
