Heatstick question

I noticed heatsticks mentioned in several threads and they look like a slick way to go. But in after searching through about 20 different threads I find no mention of a source for the element to 'DIY' one.

Where are sources to get the basic element ?

Yes, they're just replacement elements for electric water heaters.

Cool ! Called the Diamond Hardware and they have 1500w/120v for $8.50 . Ill have to get a couple when next in town.
