What wattage electric heating element is good for 3 gal boiling pot’ 200 degree max

120v/1000 watts would be plenty for that. You could step it up to 1600 to get it up to temp fast, but without variable wattage, like being able to switch from 1600 to 1000, 1600 would be too much.

I tried a 1800 w hot plate and didn’t do the job

I use it for double distilling

1800 would be more than plenty if you had the right equipment. A hot plate? Nope.

Right’ so Im going to
Install a heating element on the boil pot I use the 3 gal pot distiller for double distilling & flavor infusion 175 - 200 degrees tops
