Hey guys, I was just thinking of something and wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it.
Does everyone feel like it would be in the spirit of good sportsmanship if, for any reason, someone drops out once the season is underway, they should still send a bomber to the eventual winner? So dropping out would be equivalent to losing.
Say it's partway through the season and I see that I'm obviously not going to win. So I drop out and tell everyone I had a family emergency or something like that, but the real reason is because I knew I wouldn't win, and didn't want to have to send the eventual winner his prize. Not saying anyone here would pull a douchey move like that, but it could happen, even if the reason is legit.
I guess what I'm getting at is once the draft takes place, everyone playing at that time should be locked in to the agreement of sending the prize to the winner if they don't win, no matter what happens.
If we have 20 participants, then the winner should get 19 packages of beer.
I'm sure everyone agrees about this, but it was never put into writing in the rules, so I wanted to bring it up for discussion.
