I would like to report a missing AB keg. My ex-wife was high as a kite and let my step-son throw some party in my old house. She stole money from my wallet so that kid could buy a keg of Bud Light. Please put it back where you found it and I will come and pick it up.

Ahh, then I'd like to talk to you about some damages caused by your son and his friends. Give me a call, I'd be happy to return the keg for restitution for all the garbage I have had to pick up around my house after your son's parties, and all the times his friends decided to park in my spot, and my vehicle was damaged...:D

The kids, or whoever, originally bought the keg had to leave a deposit for it. Since the keg was never returned, that deposit money would have made it to the rightful, original owner of the keg by now. So, it seems like that keg was paid for then thrown out by the new owners(the kids), once it's in the trash, it's fair game for all:rockin: just my opinion though....:D

The deposit for the keg was probably nowhere near the actual replacement cost to AB for the keg, which may be over $100. So the presence of the deposit doesn't nessecarily mean that the keg is not the property of AB.

Take it, use it, make a really good homebrew and then give the nearest AB rep the brew so they know what good beer tastes like.....

Agreed!

Best thing that keg's going to see inside of it ever again. Put it out of it's misery.

edit: (mine's a Miller Brewing Co. keg ;) )

Bah, no guilt. It was put out for the trash. Fair game unless an AB truck went driving down your street, saw it, and the driver tried to yank it out of your hands.

It's yours. End of story. Now cut the top off that thing, drill it, and brew. :rockin:

Now when the AB police show up, I'd smile and say "Colorado XJ who??" :drunk:

:D

Guilt is over rated and easily resolved with 5 pints of homebrew from a keggle made from a free AB keg.

Not to mentin how much easier a massive pot makes brewing...

(mine was pulled of a pile of SS in a scrap yard)

Ahhh temptation.
. At what point does the keg stop being the property of AB?

Right about the point where you cut the top out and drill a hole for a ball valve. I see this one as a legitimate score. AB needs to be more careful with their stuff!

I might grind out the owner's name if I was still feeling guilt/ fear of incarceration.

That's the good part about living in Utah. It's against the law to brew beer here!I have already chosen the wrong path in life. What's one more indiscretion? I dont even have second thoughts about tearing the tag off a mattress any more!:tank:

Against.... the.... law..... to..... brew....... beer.

So, what do they do to you if you're caught? Is it the same penalty for kicking a kitten or performing the windmill?

Oh homebrewers in utah are a cunning bunch ( humble too) To my knowledge nobody has ever been arrested for homebrewing.. Some have been so embolden as to open homebrewing stores!

Utah's not alone in stupid laws, we all have them. Here are a few more of yours:

It is against the law to fish from horseback.I

It is illegal not to drink milk.

It is illegal to detonate any nuclear weapon.

Birds have the right of way on all highways.

A husband is responsible for every criminal act committed by his wife while she is in his presence.

It is a felony to persistently tread on the cracks between paving stones on the sidewalk of a state highway.

It's legal for restaurants to serve wine with meals, but only if you ask for the wine list.

It is considered an offense to hunt whales.

No one may have sex in the back of an ambulance if it is responding to an emergency call.

Alcohol may not be sold during an emergency.

Individuals may not possess beer in containers larger than two liters unless they are a retailer.
Boxing matches that allow biting are not allowed.

It is illegal to cause a catastrophe.
