Harvesting Left Hand Yeast

I will be brewing a Great Devide Yeti Imperial Stout soon. As an experiment, I was going to make my first attempt at harvesting yeast from a bottle. I had a bottle of the Yeti I am cloning however there was no yeast in the bottom so I decided to try a bottle of Left Hand's Wake Up Dead Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that I have had in the fridge for a couple years.
I was able to successfully harvest the yeast and am stepping it up to two liters as we speak. After just 6 hours I have a lot of activity in the starter. So my questions are;

1. Should I use this in my clone?
2. Does anybody know if it is the original strain?
3. Does anyone know if the original strain is something other ordinary?

Im pretty sure great divide imperial stout is just going to be cal ale (us-05, wlp001, etc) though not positive.

Harvesting yeast from a barrel aged beer isnt the best idea, cuase barrels arent as sanitary, and they may have inoculated with brett.

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense about the barrel ageing I guess. Although this is harvested from left hand not great devide. Do you think it is just common yeast also?
This was more of a test than anything however I thought I might use it.

When in doubt taste the starter beer, You should get a rough idea of esters, and a rough guess if its bacteria or brett in there as well
