Quick question - Assume that I am using pin lock kegs and someone brings over a ball lock keg. In order to use the ball lock, is it just a simple change of the two fittings at the end of the hoses that attach to the keg to be able to use the ball lock on my pin lock system?

Trying to decide between pin and ball. With pin being substantially cheaper right now, I am leaning heavily toward pin. But, ball seems to be more widely used in my area.

Thank you.

yes it is that simple. If you have an MFL connection you can just screw off the ball lock QD and screw on the pin lock QD. If they are barbed QD's then you will probably have to cut them off. I would base your choice on which one fits better in your system. In the long run 10 to 15 bucks a keg is not going to matter much.

You should be able to switch out the quick disconnects and be fine to use the tubing that you have. It's easier if you have threaded QDs, as opposed to just barbed ones.
