I've made beer for a couple years, but never any hard cider until the other day. I bought 5 gallons of fresh squeezed cider on Friday, brought it home an dumped it into a primary bucket. I crushed 5 Camden tabs and stirred them in and put the kid on. About 6 hours later, I pitched an 05 dry ale yeast and a half oz of citra hops. Replaced the lid, stuck an airlock on there and left for the weekend. Today, Sunday, I returned home expecting to see the airlock bubbling, but I did not. No bubbles. Also, there is a very foul odor coming from the airlock. Thoughts?

I've not used fresh squeezed juice before so don't have anything to say about the sulfite. But you should oxygenate the same as you would a beer. Does rousing couse C02 release? it might just be lagging. I've had ciders stink before, thats not abnormal.

Consider using that backup yeast you have in the fridge.

Cheers

I stirred it when I pitched the yeast, but I did not oxygenate. What is rousing?

I think you want to wait 24 hours for the Camden tablets. If you pitched the yeast again it should work.
