Grrrrrr, flippin poppit valves!

After disassembling my kegs for cleaning, I almost instantly knew that these lil poppet valve dohickies were going to be an issue. I didnt realize how much of a PITA they would end up turning out to be though...

After getting mad at my stout that I brewed, I decided to yank it from rotation to let it sit for a while so I might come back to it at a later time. Well, I went into my pseudo mancave to find the gas post covered in sticky brown beer. On top of that, the floor has a nice puddle as well. This wasnt the kicker though - my dumb ass decided to take my thumbnail and press on the valve to see if it was sticking or something. I ended up getting a nice little stout shower for my efforts.

LOL - I did the same thing - shot a nice stream of stout to the ceiling above my bar...

I keep a couple Post Couplers with caps on the hose fittings. Then when a keg is taken "Offline" I can seal and protect the Beer Out fitting.

Surprised that someone don't sell Post Couplers without hose fittings.

Bummer, Hope you did not loose too much.

It's apparent you guys don't work with hydraulics...never push in anything that has pressure behind it...
