So my mom works at Sunlight Supply, so i should be able to get a deal on lights.
Im just curious if any apartment dwellers have had neighbors call the cops because they think youre growing pot?
Also can someone reccommend me good resources for growing? Good books, other websites besides just HBT? Thanks!

It will be very difficult because hops unlike their illegal brethren will want to grow to incredible heights, upwards of 20 feet.

I dont think growing them indoors would work that well? Not without a huge room to grow in. Its not as simple as planting and throwing a light on top of it since they will spread out like crazy.

I've read that it can be done. I've also read they wont grow a whole lot the first year. I was thinking I could get them started and when i move into a house, grow them outdoors.
But I will do more research before attempting this.

Put them outside from day 1. My first years grew up to 16 feet. My smallest was around 6 feet and the other 2 finished around 10 feet. Unless you live in a castle, I don't think you have the space necessary for a hop grow.

Agreed.. My first year cascades hit 18 feet last year.. And there already at 18' right now as 2nd year.. I dont see how they can be grown inside.. Started yes.. But really nothing else

probably be really tough to transfer too since the roots get so deep/dense
