Hello everyone, I just happend upon this forum via a link from my new source of brewing supplies website. Anyhow, I hope to learn a lot from the folks here.
I am from Astoria, OR and just got into home brewing about 3 months ago. Since then I have managed to create two successful (and tasty) batches of beer. My first one was a stout when finished tasted much like guiness extra stout, but just a little sweeter. My second batch was brewed to my wife's flavor, an amber a little on the sweet side, brewed with very little hops.
I am also in the process of making another fermenter to brew two batches at once. One batch is going to be a honey ale, and the other is going to be another batch of that stout, considering it was a big hit with co-workers, freinds and family.
I have only made beer using extract, and created all of my own recipes. I am hoping to get in on all grain recipies sometime after my next two batches, I just don't know where to start (i'm sure there are plenty of resources here). Anyhow, it is a pleasure to meet all of you, and hope to widen my knowledge here.
