Hello everyone, I'm glad to have found this place. It looks like there are plenty of good people and good ideas here.
I've brewed sporadically for about nine years or so, using the tried and true extract plus specialty grains method. I'm going to make the move to all-grain brewing, and am designing a HERMS system. I have a background in mechanical engineering (would have gotten my degree if my school hadn't closed) and currently work as an NC programmer at a precision sheet metal shop, so I have access to a laser to make any custom parts I may need (or just want... lol)
I live just outside a national park and a glacier-fed river that gives us incredible water year-round. I'm looking forward to meeting you all, and talking more in the future.
